I met Terresa when she wanted to buy another piece that was pending pick up from someone else. Since she liked the piece so much, I told her I would look for something similar and then I could transform it into whatever she wanted.

To her surprise, I inundated her with pieces available on Marketplace. We chatted a lot and kept sending eachother listings. Some were decent but none "spoke" to her. It got to the point she was sending me listings while on a 2 week vacation. One night, I found this listing and sent to her along with a text stating "There it is". I knew this was the one and she agreed.

So, here we are. The piece had similar lines to the other piece she missed out on, therefore it was rather easy to come up with the design. The original hardware was reused, but refinished in matte black paint. The entire piece was carefully hand sanded because of it being a walnut veneer. The re-stained portions of the piece were done in Dark Walnut. The remainder of the piece was painted in several coats of Ash MFP purchased @trendosinteriors in Georgetown. The top of the chest was protected in a poly. Lastly, the entire piece was finished with homemade food grade beeswax for a beautiful finish and added protection. The original legs were removed and replaced with 12" hairpin legs.

Collaborating with Terresa was fun and I am happy she ended up getting the piece she wanted. I would like to thank her for allowing me to send her texts and videos and getting back to me promptly so I could complete the work as efficiently as I did.

You are welcome to check my page for other available pieces to purchase or simply follow me as I post pieces weekly. I also have an Instagram account under the same name.
