After many discussions and directing him to my pages, a client and his wife decided on going with a Seaside Blue MFP finish with a Walnut Stained top of this dresser.
They liked the original handles and I suggested a few things to make them pop. We decided on painting them in an oil rubbed finish and added some copper guilding wax to accent the existing details in the handles (see pics from original to finished product).
As usual, the stain was finished off with water based poly and the paint was finished off with my homemade foodgrade beeswax.
Admittedly, I was skeptical of the colour combination on this particular set but am pleased with the end result. To me, this is what refinishing furniture and consulting with clients is about. No one style is the right one, nor is one vision the right one.
This is what I can offer you as a furniture restorer. We both listen and share ideas and respect eachothers opinions. I can offer you my services and am hopeful you will share your ideas and vision into pieces that you will appreciate and cherish for years to come.
