After I met with some people from Annie Sloan this week, I was given some products to try to see what I thought. Knowing I have been using a mineral based paint for the past 2 years, I figured I would try something simple to get used to the texture of Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint. Understanding that I need to up my staging game, I figured I would use the AS product on updating an outdated vase of mine.
I started by laying a textured base coat of French Linen. I used various techniques to create an uneven textured pattern. After applying a second coat of this, I added a coat of Country Grey to add some colour variation. To add some final touches I lightly applied some Duck Egg Blue to the top and bottom of the vase.

After letting the vase dry over night, I added a thick coat of AS clear wax, which deepened the colours more.
I am LOVING the versatility of this product and already have a line up of pieces to do for staging purposes as well as others that I will refinish and have for sale. Stay tuned.😀
The table in the piece is for sale. If anyone is interested, kindly let me know.
